Munchen, Idyll im Hofbrauhaushof

Dear Father, thank-you for the Herald which arrived this am. Uncle Jack is fairly excelling himself in his occasional appearances - Three wickets in one over was pretty hot! The whole of the Loius Shandling [???] is on in one of the biggest picture houses but it costs 1.10 for the cheapest seat there. This is the garden part of the famous Hofbrauhaushof and in Dorothy’s p/c you see the entrance hall arches on the right and there is a beer cellar and then two floors of beer halls with the room in each case taking up the whole length and breadth of the building. They have bands too, and you sit and drink beer and eat sausages etc. and listen to the music. They don’t serve either coffee or lemonade so you just have to go without any drinks if you don’t beer or wine. Much love Helen.
